Welcome statement from the FSM National Election Director Mr.
Ausen T. Lambert

send compliments to all of you who take the time and opportunity to visit
the website in the mother tongue languages of the State of Chuuk-Ran allem; the
State of Kosrae-Lenwo; the State of Pohnpei-Kaselehlie; and finally the
State of Yap-Mogethin.
I am indeed privileged by the trust and
confidence of His Excellency David W. Panuelo, the President of the
Federated States of Micronesia in nominationg me to the position of the
National Election Director and subsequently received the Advice and Consent
of the FSM Twenty-Second Congress. I owe them a debt of gratitude for such a
mark of distinction. In return, I will do everything in my might to do this
job to make certainly possible that election conducts in the Federated
States of Micronesia are carried out in accordance with the mandates of our
Election Code and that is a free and fair election for all concerned
conducted in a smooth and orderly fashion. But the most signifigance of all
is to keep in mind the fact that transparency and accountability are the key
ingredients of a free and fair electoral process. To achieve this end, the
Offices of the National Election Director and National Election
Commissioners are duty-bound to work collaboratively and cooperatively
to faithfully carry out the mandates required of us.
To our citizens
of the Federated States of Micronesia, I truly want to encourage you to take
advantage of your website at
. Let us help
you fulfill your constitutional duty for the right to vote with whatever you
are not familiar about. We are here to serve you on any and all matters
relating to conducting elections in the Federated States of Micronesia. As
your new National Election Director being in the Office for only three days,
I am fully committed to serving you to the fullest extent practicable. The
same expectation goes to our beautiful staff members at your Main Office
here in Palikir and the Commissioners and their respective staff members of
the National Election Offices in the State of Yap, the state of Chuuk, the
State of Kosrae and the State of Pohnpei.
In conclusion, I will be
remiss if I do not acknowledge on behalf of the people of the Federated
States of Micronesia, our kalangan lap or deepest indebtedness to President
Panuelo, Vice President George, Speaker Simina and the esteemed members of
the Twenty-Second Congress and the members of the Cabinet for your wise
leadership in leading us to where we are at this juncture.
